I Could Eat You Up
Written and illustrated by Jesse Levison
A “corny” board book full of food puns that express a parent’s love for their baby.
Hasn’t every parent looked at their adorable, chubby baby and thought: I Could Eat You Up? This delightful, silly, and heartfelt board book is stocked with food puns that tell a baby just how much they are treasured. Artist and stationery designer (Gold Teeth Brooklyn) Jesse Levison’s stylish and impactful handmade silkscreen illustrations teach young children the names of different foods, while grown-ups bring on the giggles reading aloud: “You’ve got a pizza my heart / Life with you is egg-cellent”. A delicious gift for expectant and new parents. |
Jesse Levison was born and raised in Miami, Florida and has been a printmaker for 15 years. Her cards, jewelry and objects, which render archetypal forms through vibrant, playful design, bring a renewed sense of wonder and recognition to the everyday. Jesse's allegiance to the accessibility of artful design is articulated through her thoughtful palettes, cotton rag paper, and small batch runs. She is influenced by the bold colors and tropical landscapes of south Florida while also drawing inspiration from Americana and the winters of Brooklyn, New York where she spent 9 years of her life. She recently relocated to Los Angeles for further inspiration!
